KBR's International Government, Defense and Support Services (IGDSS) received two Gold Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards for the third consecutive year.

One award was presented to FTX Logistics, a subsidiary of KBR that operates the Heavy Equipment Transporter service for the UK MoD.

"These awards recognize occupational health and safety success for both IGDSS and for its subsidiary company FTX Logistics." said Andrew Pringle, president IGDSS.

High performance, well- developed health and safety management systems and low levels of error, harm and loss are achievements that led KBR to receiving the esteemed awards.

KBR provided documentary evidence of its approach to health and safety and performance. The submission detailed the uncompromising focus of health and safety through the delivery of KBR's safety programme, which includes commitment to health and safety at all levels of the organization.

According to Andrew Pringle, the IGDSS behavioural safety programme gives individuals the opportunity to improve self-awareness, heighten risk perception and get involved in safety, so that any potential hazards may be prevented.

"It is an honour to receive these prestigous awards for the third year" said Pringle. "I'm proud of my team's commitment to the behavioural safety programme. Their hard work and dedication to safety has paid off."

Tha annual RoSPA Awards are a key fixture on the health and safety calendar. They offer organizations a prime opportunity to prove their ongoing commitments to raising health and safety standards. The awards, started in 1985 have become one of the longest-running and most highly-respected occupational award programmes.
