Abnormal Load Escort Training

Coming in January 2016 – training for City and Guilds Certificates of Competence for Abnormal Loads Escort  Level 2 for Escort Driver and Level 3 for Escort Manager. Although the Certificates of Competence are not required by legislation the Code of Practice does require escort personnel to be Competent which means they are suitably trained and/or experienced in the role. The C&G Certificates will quickly become the de-facto standards (in practice but not necessarily ordained by law).

FTX Logistics are uniquely placed to deliver the training having attended all meetings to develop the qualifications including the National Occupational Standards (NOS) with Skills for Logistics in 2011. We are still working with the Heavy Transport Association (HTA) in developing course training materials and the course training programmes.

With eight instructors and nine escort vehicles FTX can deliver training in the South, North East, North West, and will quote for courses in Scotland and Wales.
